What to expect
Kamuchawie Lake is renowned for holding incredible numbers of massive lake trout but has never experienced ice angling—until now. When Jason Mitchell and crew became the first to fish these waters through the ice in 2025, they caught over 25 lake trout exceeding 35 inches in just 3 days, including multiple 40″+ fish and one 45″ giant.

Quoted prices exclude shop purchases, licenses, liquor, soda pop, gratuities and tax (7% PST and 5% GST in Manitoba) unless stated otherwise.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy: We require 25% down at time of booking and withhold a 60-day cancellation policy.
Please note: A 2% processing fee will be applied to all payments made by credit card.
We will make every effort to ensure that your trip proceeds on schedule, but please be aware that air travel in the North can have unpredictable delays. We cannot be held responsible for any extra costs incurred due to uncooperative weather, airplane issues, forest fires or other unforeseen political border issues or natural disasters. For these reasons, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
You don’t need to coordinate anything besides getting yourself to Flin Flon, Manitoba, whether you drive or fly. We coordinate with Wings Over Kississing to operate the flight out to Kamuchawie from town.
All levels welcome, our guides work with everyone regardless of experience.
We can accommodate groups of up to 8 guests and require a minimum group size of 4 people due to the operational costs of the backcountry flight, etc.
You don’t need to bring any fishing gear (rods, electronics, etc.), we have all of that provided at the outpost and ask you to leave it at home to limit weight on the flight.

We provide all linens and towels, so beyond your ice gear all you need is a few changes of personal lounge clothing for at the lodge, layers for warmth during the day on the ice, your personal toiletries and any necessary medication.
Don’t forget a charger for your phone and perhaps a small external charging pack – you’ll be busy taking photos!
